EHFD responds to a one car roll over with occupant trapped under the vehicle

On 10/10/11 at approximately 4:00 pm, the East Herkimer Fire Department along with the Mohawk Fire Department and MOVAC ambulance responded to a one vehicle roll over with the occupant trapped under the vehicle in the ditch. Fire personnel used air bags, hydraulic rescue tools, and a wrecker from Skinner Sales to disentangle the victim. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeths Medical Center in Utica with non-life threatening injuries. The extrication took approximately 35 minutes to complete.
