On Tuesday 3/27, East Herkimer Firefighters responded with manpower to assist the Newport Fire Company at the scene of a commercial structure. Newport was also assisted by Poland, Middleville, Herkimer, Schuyler, and Frankfort Fire Departments at the scene as well as Kuyahoora Ambulance. Salisbury Fire Department was on standby at the Middleville Fire Station.
